We are just back from the most outstanding vacation ever! It was Traverus Travel Network’s Conference at Sea on the Carnival Valor. The 8 day, 7 night cruise visited Nassau, St Thomas and St Maarten and hosted our National Conference.
First, the fun!

Ready to climb aboard the Carnival Valor after our drive to the Port of Miami!

The Carnival Valor , the Fun Ship!
The Valor is an incredible floating resort. Even with 8 days on board I am certain that I did not see everything this cruise had to offer.
It had so many entertainment opportunities it made another cruise line I’d been on seem really boring in comparison! The children’s Camp Carnival was fabulous! And when the kids were’t having a blast there they were eating everything in site at Rosie’s or playing miniature golf with their Grandfather!

If you have questions about whether cruising is for kids- do not doubt! It’s fantastic! Your bags stay unpacked in yoru cabin while your floating resort takes you to exotic ports. The food is plentiful and available 24 hours a day… its the way to travel with kids. Mine already want to know when they can get back on a ship!
And of course the entertainment for the parents is fabulous as well- especially when you have close to one thousand Traverus Agents on board to party with!

This is on the Promenade deck in front of the casino. I don’t gamble… but I like the bright lights and energy.
Of course the company on board is worth noting…

John O’Hurley, Celebrity Spokesperson for Traverus Travel Network

Melanie Milletics, Dottie Smith and David Manning, CEO of Traverus Travel
Susan Pattis and Ken Lui of 5CTV
The caliber of people on the ship was ruly phenominal. What we learned about the future of Traverus was truly mind blowing! Get in, stay in, and hold on tight for the ride of your life!
Back to the fun…
Clearly everyone has their own idea of what an ideal Caribbean vacation entails. For me, it involves pristine beaches and snorkeling amongst coral reefs and the creatures that make the reef their home. Therefore, I spent days before my vacation researching the BEST snorkeling Nassau, St Thomas and St Martin. I am happy to say my research paid off - as we had a dream vacation! We avoided the crowds from the cruise ships and made our way to the true Caribbean - and came back with the knowledge that we will return!
Our First stop was Nassau Bahamas. Our group of 7 took a taxi to Cabbage beach, which is on the north east side of Paradise Island - on the far end AWAY from the crowds at Atlantis Resorts. We found ourselves alone on a pristine beach - in fact, the most quintessential of beaches! We snorkeled along the rocks and had tropical fish swimming up to our noses! It was wonderful. If you intend to find this beach- ask the taxi to drop you as far up the beach as possible. You’ll get dropped off right by Michael Jordan’s homes / golf course.
Have you ever seen Bahama blue? It’s a color I will forever hold in my mind’s eye as one of God’s gifts!

Somehow the blue maintains its clarity even as the waves crash on the beach! The best snorkeling is at the end, by the ‘hook of land past the palms.

As you can see - the beach was all ours!

I want to go back to Paradise Island! These pictures truly don’t do the Bahama blue justice!
Our second stop was St Thomas. Our good friend Cornel lives on the island. He is a stock trader. His bookshelf:

Every Single book is on trading stock! You must educate yourself on whatever you intend to make your millions with! This is an awesome example. You should have seen the view from his home! So worth every minute of reading those books!
Now, for a little entertainment…
Overlooking Port Charlotte Amalie in St thomas.

Stop 2 with our St Thomas ‘native’ (he is actually from Bucharest Romania!)
That’s Megan’s Bay with St John, Tortola and Jost Van Dyke in the background. Ran into some good friends here who happened to be enjoying Banana Daiquiris!
Finally on to the beach at Secret Harbor, the BEST snorkeling in St Thomas. The beach is small and not so big- but the real wonder is in the water! This is where we swam with stingrays and sea turtles! The reef here was alive and fascinating, right off shore.

We had lunch at the Blue Moon Cafe, right at the beach… yes, that is the menu my Dad brought out to us in the water! This is the life!

This guy didn’t ever want to go home!

There were iguanas in the large Sea-grape trees! Trust me, you do not want to put your beach chair under these beasts!

By early evening we were ready to hop back on board and head to the Washington dining room for another fabulous dinner .. ahhh, cruising is GOOD!
One more stop! St. Maarten and the Port at Phillipsburg. Here we rented a van and literally drove around the entire island in a day. Not too difficult, really!
First stop - to the French town of Marigot for coffee, quiche and croissants at the patisserie on the marina.

The experience was authentic , French and fantastic. There was a funky market there too- but our mission was not to shop - it was to beach it!
We drove along the northern coast to the French Cul de Sac and hopped on the shuttle boat to Ilet Pinel, a tropical paradise with tiki shaded tables, lounges in the sand and some of the warmest water yet! This was supposed to be the best snorkeling in St Martin, but the surf was too rough to make our way out to the reef. It was unfortunate… but I had no problem enjoying a bear submerged int he water as my children played perfectly safely nearby. This was really a perfect destination. If you travel to St Martin with kids, you must make your way to Pinel Island!

Yellow Beach at Illet Pinel, St Martin. This island has walkways all around the perimeter that lead to lovely private beaches worth exploring!
Perfect fo ra day in paradise with the children.
Our final stop.. Bikini Beach on the east coast, on the northern end of Orient Bay. This is one of the coolest spots - the kind of place you want to make your way to with just your significant other. Great ambiance with several funky bars right on the beach. We were told that from March-December there are soundsystems on the beach late into the night. We’ll be back!

The restaurant, bars and spas on this part of the beach had a decidedly Eastern vibe. The staff were European and chic.

A great place to hang with friends! This is my friend and fellow Traverus agent Kathy Furini.
Eventually we did have to get back on board - but this was not at all rushed. I love St Martin!
The last few days on board were jammed packed with some of the most powerful presentations… that deserve their own blog post!
Stay tuned!

Mark Campese, Melanie Milletics, David Manning and Dottie Smith
One last thing - I am truly blessed!
I won Sandy Botkin’s TaxStrategies for Business Professionals and the Tax Reduction Organizer!

Is Becoming a Certified Travel Agent From Home With Traverus Travel Network Right for You?
Do you dream of making a living doing something you absolutely love to do, booking travel? Are you one of those people who has become an expert at booking vacations online for all of your friends and family, the team and their families? Or, have you worked in a travel agency in the past and want to continue to use your skills from the comfort of your own home? Or, have you simply dreamed of learning a valuable trade, of being a Certified Travel Agent from home, where you can sell travel online, and work directly with major suppliers like Royal Caribbean, Princess Cruise Line, Sandals Resorts, and Apple Vacations.
You, my friend are in the right place at the right time. It has never been easier to become a home based travel agent and earn your share of the 7 Trillion Dollar travel industry from the comfort of your own home!
You have many options available to you, so lets discuss the important factors to consider when you are looking to begin this journey to financial freedom.
RTA or CTA?
A RTA, or RTC is a Referral Travel Agent or Referral Travel Consultant. With this kind of business model you pay a set up fee, and then a monthly fee for a website so that you can earn a commission when someone books travel on your site. Essentially you are a travel ‘affiliate’. You get a percentage of the commission paid to the host company from the hotel, resort or cruise that is booked through your website. If this is all you want to do, then you really want to consider the type of travel portal you are using, and the percentage of the commission you are earning. The type of portal you will be using is extremely important because different portals will pay you differently. For example, Travelocity portals are known to pay a fraction of the commissions due to loopholes. Look for an agency that can give you a true professional travel portal, preferably a Revelex portal. A Revelex Portal pays correct commissions to the host agency, thus you as the agent are paid a true commission.
You also want to find our what percentage of the commission you will be paid. The Host agency will be paid by the suppliers after the travel takes place, and then your host agency will pay you. Obviously you want to be paid the highest commission possible!
Traverus Travel Network offers the RTC Package for $199 set up, $59 per month, and a Revelex Portal. You earn 65% of the commission for travel booked through your site.
A CTA, or Certified Travel Agent must complete comprehensive training and testing to become certified. Once certified, the agent can work directly with suppliers to book travel for clients. When you are a CTA, you open a whole new world of profitability to your business as you can become a specialist in as many areas of travel as you like. A Certified Travel Agent can use tools such as Vax, use flight consolidators and book travel with Apple Vacations. This truly is only a short list. As a CTA, you can work with large group bookings, fund raisers for non-profits, and corporate travel. The income potential here is unlimited.
If you would like to become a Certified Travel Agent from home, some things to consider are the accreditations of your host company, the type and quality of training, and the commission percentage you will earn.
Accreditation: DO they have a IATAN, CLIA, ARC number? Will you be able to work with all of the top suppliers? Make sure you know the answer to this before you move forward! Watch out for red flags, things that will limit your income potential.
Training and certification: Is it online, offline, classroom based?
Commission percentage: Clearly, you want to be paid the most money for your efforts. Choose an agency that is in good standing with suppliers so that they are paid a high percentage from the suppliers, and you are paid fairly from that commission.
Traverus Travel Network offers the CTA package for $399 to start which includes the online training and testing as well as the first month’s fee of $59 for Revelex Portal, booking desk to track commissions and ongoing training via webinar and phone. You earn 75% of the commission for travel booked and are trained extensively on how to book group travel, where you earn the highest commission for your time. Traverus is fully bonded and certified with IATAN, CLIA, and ARC.

Ever found yourself lucky enough to be at the right place at the right time? How about ground floor with an establish travel business that is poised for explosive growth? Traverus Travel is just that- an opportunity to be a HOME BASED TRAVEL AGENT and earn up to 75% commissions on travel bookings. Its been a bit of a wild ride over the last few months- but I tell you what- its getting VERY interesting!
Traverus has a 3×9 forced matrix, which means not only is there REAL spillover (my Sponsor is Tim Miller - top earner, you’ll hear him on the calls), there is also a real team aspect to this thing.
This is awfully refreshing…and coming from someone who was quite MLM jaded, eye opening. I have seen more than 40 people come into my business over the last 2 weeks and a full 60% of them have gotten checks. That’s something else folks- something not often experienced.
So what does it take to get started with me in Traverus? Simply follow our duplicatable SYSTEM. Dont deviate, be teachable and work consistently. I know this works. A full 95% of my team is using this system and its certainly working!
1. You’ll have a lead capture page just like this one www.traverus-travel.biz that leads to a movie presentation and ultimately to your Traverus corporate site.
2. We use www.thescriptbook.com , and stick to it, to consistently enroll the people who come through the capture page. Its $37, worth its weight in gold.
3. Qualified prospects are generated by http://traverus.networkercentral.com , and managed within their system. All followup and ’status’ emails in the system are Traverus specific. Work smart, not hard.
4. We have weekly team calls - plug into our calls as well as the Traverus calls to stay in the loop.
5. Get all of your travel agent training online and specialized training via phone conference. Soon we will have webinar trainings.
Please, if you aren’t willing to plug into the system…don’t just join for the heck of it! I’m looking for people who are SERIOUS about earning MONEY. That means consistently applying the system we have in place. You are paid WEEKLY here- so you could actually earn a check THIS WEEK if you get to work… are you willing to work? Then PLUG IN. Start getting paid in one of 7 ways!
